The HummingBee – Pregnancy & Mama Retreats | France / Remote
Are you studying marketing, communications, social media or a related field and looking for a hands-on internship where you can actually get involved?
The HummingBee is a small, independent pregnancy and mama retreat business in Southwest France. I organise retreats for pregnant women and new mothers with a holistic approach. Creating a safe and supporting environment & combining evidence based information, prenatal and postnatal movement, relaxation, workshops, sharing moments, organic and deliscous food that nourishes mama and baby and plenty of time to connect, laugh and share.
After a successful first year, I’m looking for a marketing intern to help me grow The HummingBee and reach more pregnant women who might love the experience we offer.
This is a small business, so you won't be working in a big marketing department with one tiny task. You'll get to see and work on different parts of the marketing process, from social media and content creation to audience research and figuring out what works.

Research relevant communities, pregnancy platforms, influencers and potential partners

Look at our current marketing and suggest what could be improved

Help identify opportunities to reach more international clients

Research competitors and other pregnancy/wellness retreats

Help us understand what makes women choose — or hesitate to choose — a retreat like The HummingBee
Who I'm looking for
You might be a good fit if you:

Are studying marketing, communications, social media, digital marketing or a related subject
-
Have a good understanding of Instagram and social media
-
Enjoy creating content and coming up with ideas
-
Are curious about marketing strategy and consumer behaviour

Have an eye for visual content and simple, authentic branding
-
Are comfortable working independently
-
Are proactive and happy to suggest ideas rather than waiting to be told what to do

Have good written and spoken English
-
Are interested in pregnancy, motherhood, wellness, travel or hospitality — although you don't need to have experience in these areas
Experience with Canva, Instagram, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, SEO or similar tools is a plus.
What you can expect
You'll work directly with me, I am the founder, child birth educator, doula and prenatal yoga teacher and get a look at what it's really like to run a small business, including the fun & the creative parts.
You'll get practical experience across different areas of marketing and the chance to see how marketing decisions translate into an actual business.
You'll also have quite a lot of freedom to bring your own ideas. If you see something that could work better, I want you to tell me!
The internship can be fully remote.
However, if you'd like to come to France, you're very welcome to spend part of your internship here. I can provide free accommodation at our home in Southwest France during your stay, so you can experience the area and the HummingBee environment first-hand.
Duration & time commitment
Minimum duration: 4 weeks
The exact dates and number of hours per week can be discussed depending on your study requirements and availability.
For students completing a formal internship, we can discuss the required internship agreement and practical arrangements.
Compensation: depending on the internship arrangement, duration and requirements, this can be discussed when we speak.

Remote / Southwest France
You can work remotely and, if you'd like to spend some time in France, we can discuss accommodation.
